| Jimmy O'Boyle's goal with less than two minutes remaining in the third period earned the Bedford Blues a 4-4 tie with CCNY, and most importantly, the MCHC Division I championship. Said Coach Kevin McNulty, "I was ecstatic! I couldn't be happier!" Many of the players had tears in their eyes as they mobbed one another in celebration of the division championship. |

| With one minute left to play in the third period, the score was tied at 4-4 based upon Mike Lyden's goal, and Jimmy O'Boyle's hat trick. Defenseman Jim Cammarano's slap shot hit the back of the net to give the Bedford Blues a 5-4 lead. Steve Regino's empty net goal sealed the 6-4 victory. BC beat Wagner in the first game of this best of three semi-finals round by the score of 7-3. Sal Parisi and Mike Lyden each scored three goals. |

| On April 1, 1977 Jimmy O'Boyle and Steve Senken were members of the MCHC All Star team which played a club team from Sweden, The Halmstads, at the Westchester Ice Palace. The Halmsteds defeated the MCHC All Stars by the score of 7-4. Jimmy and Steve each scored a goal. As an act of sportsmanship, the teams exchanged gifts at the conclusion of the game. |
